The Turku-based subcontracting partner in the marine industry, EJT-Tekniikka, has made significant upgrades to its machinery. The latest machine investments delivered by Aliko — the Cutlite Penta Plus Bevel 20kW and the Aliko SP8000-1000 Giant — are precisely tailored to meet the company’s needs. Together, they enable the efficient production of even larger and more demanding structures.
“Our main challenges before acquiring the new equipment were dimensional accuracy and the manufacturing of long components,” comments Dennis Rike, Production Manager at EJT-Tekniikka. With the new fiber laser, the company can now produce parts up to 13 meters long, which can be further processed in the production hall — for example, by bending or welding — before delivery to customers.
Thanks to the new Cutlite Penta fiber laser, EJT-Tekniikka’s service range has expanded to include stainless steel grades and aluminum cutting, while the cutting thickness capacity has impressively increased to 50 mm. Overall, the company’s cutting capacity has doubled, and customers have particularly praised the high-quality and versatile bevel cuts.
The Aliko SP8000-1000 Giant has increased the maximum bending length to eight meters, while its 1,000-ton bending force has significantly boosted bending capacity. The Aliko KMJ angle measurement system ensures the dimensional accuracy of the parts.
EJT-Tekniikka chose Aliko for several reasons. In addition to the machines’ excellent price-to-quality ratio, the proximity of maintenance and spare parts services played an important role in the decision. The company has been very satisfied with the equipment, and Sales Engineer Pyry Kivinen confirms that the machines have performed exactly as promised.
